About Dental Manufacturing Direct
In 2025, Dr Tony Fang and his wife Jennifer Qu—bringing over 30 years of combined experience managing public, private, and corporate dental clinics in Australia—partnered with Mr Zikang Wang and Lily Huo, operators of a leading dental laboratory in Shenzhen, China. Together, they launched a venture to deliver high-quality dental lab products directly to the Australian market.

The team identified a growing need for faster turnaround times and more competitive pricing, particularly for implant-supported prosthetics and chrome dentures. With digital design and manufacturing now standard in larger production centres, the traditional 2–3 week wait was no longer acceptable. The Shenzhen-based lab, with 30 years of experience and over a decade of serving Australian and American clinics, offered a streamlined, digital-first workflow capable of meeting modern expectations.
Operating from 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday to Saturday, the lab’s extended hours are well-suited to Australian clinics, which often work evenings and weekends. This allowed for faster communication, quicker adjustments, and a more responsive service model.

The Workflow
Scan
Provide digital scan data and xrays. Simple STLs and photos, radiographs. If you need assistance with a scanner, please reach out to us.
Design
Digital scans are used to create a precise 3D model. Our lab designs and manufactures the dental appliance through milling or 3D printing.We will provide a digital design overlay and present the case to you within 24 hours for simple cases and 48 hours for complex cases. You may discuss this with our dentist or technical team if needed during this phase.
Manufacture and Deliver
We will proceed to manufacture once design is approved, 3d models and printed articulators can be provided with the case if needed. We ship with our commercial partners UPS and DHL

Are your products Australian Made?
The bulk of our work is done and manufactured in China to tap into the talent from the extreme quantities of work and hence experience in Chinese design and manufacture. Quality control is done in China, and then checked again once it arrives in the hand of our clinical team based in Melbourne

What is your main areas of manufacturing?
DMD specialises in metal printing, advanced design, and multi-constructed prosthetics with robust superstructures. Our focus includes full-arch metal and zirconia bridges, chrome dentures, implant prosthetics, and digital design solutions. This expertise ensures each prosthesis is precise, durable, and perfectly tailored to your patient’s needs, combining innovation with reliability.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including all major credit cards and other flexible payment methods. If you require further details, feel free to contact our team for more information. We generally prefer monthly direct deposit payments on statement.
What are your turnaround times?
We take pride in our extremely fast turn around times for complex work like implants and chrome framed dentures. Most items generally require an in-lab time of 3-4 days including all design and manufacture and shiping times are 1-2 days. Chrome dentures will need 8 days being one of the few exceptions.
How do you ensure the quality of your products?
DMD ensures the best quality with three quality control checks: a technician oversees each stage, pre-shipping inspection to verify standards, and dentist inspection upon arrival in Melbourne. This thorough process guarantees reliability, precision, and client satisfaction with every dental product delivered.
